The first 2025 Major Content Update for War Thunder Mobile is now in the game!

In this update, you can expect to see the following:

Launch of the new season for a long-running event featuring premium vehicles.
Start of a new season and VIP levels of Battle Pass.
The new airplane map – “Tropical islands”.
New common vehicles – the Chinese ZTZ96A platoon, the Japanese JDS Hatsuyuki missile destroyer, and three aircraft: U.S. P-51H-5-NA, German Ju 288 C and Soviet Yak-9P.
New premium aircraft for GE.
Bugfixes, changes and much more.

New premium aircraft

There are 9 premium aircraft added to the game, 3 are in each nation’s branch:

USA: P-47M-1-RE (Rank VI) and XF5F (Rank III) fighters, B-10B (Rank I) bomber;
Germany: Ju 87 R-2 (Rank I) bomber, Bf 110 C-6 (Rank III) and Hs 129 B-2 (Rank IV) strike aircraft;
USSR: BB-1 (Rank I) strike aircraft, fighters I-29 (Rank III) and LaGG-3-34 (Rank IV).

Each aircraft currently has only one standard camouflage.

You can purchase new vehicles for GE in the relevant branches. For each premium aircraft called into battle you can get a certain number of GE after the battle (there is a daily limit of gold for each unique aircraft).

New location

The new airplane location "Tropical islands".

Season “Wild Islands”

Complete the "Wild Islands" Season combat missions, earn War Bonds as rewards and unlock trophy containers with valuable prizes for them.

Please note that the “Wild Islands” season will last 4 weeks: from January 16th to February 13th, 2025.

You need 40 attempts to get the first jackpot from the Medium Trophy of the Tank Campaign. The second jackpot will be awarded after another 20 attempts.

You will receive a premium Centurion Mk.5 AVRE Platoon (Rank VII) with a 50% chance in the first jackpot. If you got both main rewards in less than 60 attempts, you will receive 1000 GE as the jackpot.

For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed premium AMX-40 Platoon (Rank IX) in 14 attempts.

You need 40 attempts to get the first jackpot from the Medium Trophy of the Ship Campaign. The second jackpot will be awarded in another 20 attempts.

You will receive the premium light cruiser IJN Sendai (Rank II) with a 50% chance in the first jackpot. If you got both main rewards in less than 60 attempts, you will receive 1000 GE as the jackpot.

For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed premium battleship USS Tennessee (Rank IV) in 14 attempts.

You need 50 attempts to get the jackpot from the Airplane Campaign Medium Trophy.

Please note that the Airplane Trophies are in test mode! At the end of the season, the rewards and the principle of getting the jackpot may be changed.

Only one jackpot from the Medium Trophy can be obtained. The jackpot contains 700 blueprints of the season aircraft (standard version): A-26B-50 (Rank VII) or Fw 190 A-8 (Rank VII). If you got both main rewards in less than 50 attempts, you will receive 1750 GE as the jackpot.

For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed jackpot in 14 attempts: 700 blueprints of the season aircraft (standard version): A-26B-50 (Rank VII) or Fw 190 A-8 (Rank VII).

Ways to get the bonds:

300 bonds are awarded as a gift with the start of the Season to players of Level 3 or higher of Tank or Ship Campaign or after at least 5 battles in an Aviation Campaign;
Rewards for completing the tasks of the season of all three campaigns;
Rewards in the overall progress bar of the season's tasks;
Campaign ranking awards;
Battle Pass rewards;
Reward from Small or Medium Trophies (10 to 300 items);
Season Offers and Store.

In total for the Season, you can get 8,550 bonds for completing tasks, a welcome bonus, a free Battle Pass lineup, completing the season's task progress bar, and getting into the top 1% of the tank, ship, and aviation leaderboards. Additional bonds can be obtained from the Small Trophy by watching ads and when opening the Medium and Big Trophies.

War Bonds and Keys cannot be used in the next season. After the end of the current season, War Bonds and Keys will be automatically used to open the relevant trophies in random campaigns. If you want to get rewards from a certain campaign, you have to use the War Bonds and Keys yourself before the end of the season, until 10:00 (GMT) on February 13th 2025.

The race for vehicles in the Big Trophy container begins a week from today, on January 23, 2025.

Leaderboards

To get into the campaign leaderboard, you need to fight at least 5 battles using vehicles from the relevant campaign (tank and ship take-offs don't count for access to the airplane campaign).

Please note that the aviation leaderboards are in test mode! We are monitoring the ranking performance and may change it.

The rating season ends on February 6th, 2025 at 10:00 (GMT). Rewards will be distributed within a few days after the leaderboards are frozen. It’s important to note that rewards may be given out at different times for different leaderboards.

Battle Pass

Complete special tasks, level up your Battle Pass and receive rewards for your completed steps.

When you purchase the VIP pass, you instantly receive premium camouflages on vehicles from the Medium Trophies of the tank and ship campaigns, for one of the aircraft, as well as automatically completing 10 steps from the Battle Pass lineup. If you have already purchased an upgraded BP, the cost of the VIP pass will be reduced.
