Historical note

Battleship Tennessee was the lead ship in a series of two superdreadnought battleships. It was laid down in 1917. The ship's design included improved anti-torpedo protection and the latest main caliber turrets, which increased the range of fire. Tennessee was an excellent ship for its time with an impressive battle history.

During the attack on Pearl Harbor, the battleship was seriously damaged and went into overhaul and modernization. At the end of World War II the ship took part in all significant battles of the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. The battleship was removed from the fleet in 1959 and sold for scrap.

A dreadnought is all about armor and guns. A superdreadnought is even more armor and guns! The American superdreadnought USS Tennessee is not a fast ship, but its firepower and defense is the envy of any ship of the same class. Let's get to know the giant of the sea from the USA!

The USS Tennessee's main armament is located in four giant heavily armored turrets. The 12 356 mm caliber guns are capable to make a well-coordinated onboard salvo and severely damage even the most protected opponent.

A secondary caliber of 16 multipurpose 127-mm guns is responsible for the destruction of smaller ships. In addition, the USS Tennessee carries an excellent air defense battery. The air above the battleship will be reliably protected from aircraft attacks.

According to American tradition, battleships don't skimp on armor protection. The USS Tennessee's impressively thick armor belt, sophisticated bulkhead system, and large crew will enable the battleship to stay afloat for a long time even under a concentrated salvo of enemies.

Ships like the USS Tennessee are the key heroes of any battle. Their actions, as a rule, directly affect the outcome of the battle. Your main advantages are damage and armor.
