Season Update 1.11.0.26: “Frozen Front”
The Major December Content Update for War Thunder Mobile is already in the game!
In this update, you can expect to see the following:
- Launch of the new season for a long-running event featuring premium vehicles – and an enhanced task system divided into campaigns.
- Start of a new season and VIP levels of Battle Pass.
- New common vehicles – the Soviet T-72B (1989) platoon, the Soviet Pr. 1155 missile destroyer, and three aircraft: U.S. B-24D-25-CO, German Bf 109 G-6 and Soviet Yer-2 (ACh-30B) (e).
- Leaderboards update – rewards for top 1%!
- Bugfixes, changes and much more.

New mechanics
Today in the game a new mechanic has been added – the radar station! Radar is a complex of devices that are used to detect objects over a large area, and in more modern modifications of vehicles – to aim missiles at targets.
Currently, the radar is available only on the Tu-1 aircraft in the air campaign and is used only in the enemy detection mode (SRC) at a range of up to 8 km.
In the future, this mechanic may be used on other vehicles and in other campaigns.
Season “Frozen Front”
Complete the Frozen Front Season combat missions, earn War Bonds as rewards and unlock trophy containers with valuable prizes for them.
Please note that the “Frozen Front” season will last 6 weeks: from December 6th, 2024 to January 16th, 2025.
You need 40 attempts to get the first jackpot from the Medium Trophy of the Tank Campaign. The second jackpot will be awarded after another 20 attempts.
You will receive a premium FIAT 6614 Platoon (Rank V) with a 50% chance in the first jackpot. If you got both main rewards in less than 60 attempts, you will receive 1000 GE as the jackpot.
For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed premium XM1 (Chrysler) Platoon (Rank VIII) in 14 attempts.
You need 40 attempts to get the first jackpot from the Medium Trophy of the Ship Campaign. The second jackpot will be awarded in another 20 attempts.
You will receive the premium heavy cruiser IJN Myoko (Rank II) with a 50% chance in the first jackpot. If you got both main rewards in less than 60 attempts, you will receive 1000 GE as the jackpot.
For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed premium dreadnought HMS Centurion (Rank III) in 14 attempts.
You need 50 attempts to get the jackpot from the Airplane Campaign Medium Trophy.
Only one jackpot from the Middle Trophy can be obtained. The jackpot contains 700 blueprints of the season aircraft (base version): Tu-1 (Rank VII) or Do 217 M-1 (Rank VII). If you got both main rewards in less than 50 attempts, you will receive 1750 GE as the jackpot.
For the Big Trophy, you'll get a guaranteed jackpot in 14 attempts: 700 blueprints of the season aircraft (base version): Tu-1 (Rank VII) or Do 217 M-1 (Rank VII).
Changes in Season tasks
The “Frozen Front” update implements the separation of seasonal tasks by campaign. You can only complete tasks related to the campaign of your choice.
You can complete all quests in all campaigns if you wish.
Useful information:
- the total number of War Bonds available for the three campaigns' quests and progress bar has increased by 900;
- the progress bar remains common between campaigns, the reward for steps has been increased (it was 200-400-600-800, it became 200-400-700-1000);
- the number of War Bonds in campaign tasks has been reduced from 25 to 15 pieces;
- in each individual campaign the number of tasks has not changed – 5 days with 6 tasks each;
- the total number of tasks for all campaigns increased to 90.
Ways to get the bonds:
- 300 bonds are awarded as a gift with the start of the Season to players of Level 3 or higher of Tank or Ship Campaign or after at least 5 battles in an Aviation Campaign;
- Rewards for completing the tasks of the season of all three campaigns;
- Rewards in the overall progress bar of the season's tasks;
- Campaign ranking awards;
- Battle Pass rewards;
- Reward from Small or Medium Trophies (10 to 300 items);
- Season Offers and Store.
The race for vehicles in the Big Trophy container begins a week from today, on December 12, 2024.
Leaderboards
Starting with the “Frozen Front” season, we are adding an extra gradation of rewards for the top-1% in all leaderboards:
- top-1% of players in campaigns will additionally (on top of the lower level rewards) receive 500 bonds and 1 key;
- top-1% of players in General rating will additionally (on top of the lower level rewards) receive 250 Golden Eagles and a title that was previously only given to top-10 players.
Top-10 players will receive all lower level rewards, including the top-1% rewards. All other rewards are unchanged.
To get into the campaign leaderboard, you need to fight at least 5 battles using vehicles from the relevant campaign (tank and ship take-offs don't count for access to the airplane campaign).
The rating season ends on January 9th, 2025 at 10:00 (GMT). Rewards will be distributed within a few days after the leaderboards are frozen. It’s important to note that rewards may be given out at different times for different leaderboards.
Battle Pass
Complete special tasks, level up your Battle Pass and receive rewards for your completed steps.
When you purchase the VIP pass, you instantly receive premium camouflages on vehicles from the Medium Trophies of the tank and ship campaigns, for one of the aircraft, as well as automatically completing 10 steps from the Battle Pass lineup. If you have already purchased an upgraded BP, the cost of the VIP pass will be reduced.
IMPORTANT! Starting with the “Frozen Front” season, aircraft camouflage has been added to the VIP pass rewards. The cost of the BP has not changed.
The unique camouflages are given when you purchase a VIP pass no matter if you have a vehicle.
Other
- The option to drop all bombs as a salvo has been added:
- to drop all bombs – press the bomb drop button;
- to drop one bomb – short click on the bomb drop button;
- cancel dropping – swipe the finger away from the button.
- A bug that caused it to be possible to fly out 4 times in the airplane campaign if you had only 1-3 back-ups before the battle has been fixed.
Known issues
- The incorrect name of the T-64BV tank from the T-72B platoon (1989) – will be fixed soon.
- The incorrect reload speed of 9.2 sec. is shown in the card of the T-72B tank (1989). The real reload speed in the battle is ~7.1-7.3 sec. The typo in the card will be fixed with the next major technical update 1.12.
