[Coming Soon] Project 1155M: the ruthless “Uran”

Historical note

In the early 70s, a directive was issued to develop new patrol ships capable of countering potential enemy submarines. The task was assigned to the team of the Northern Engineering Design Bureau. Following the commissioning of the first ships under Project 1155, a decision was made to pursue further modernization, including an overhaul of the armament system.

Large anti-submarine ships (frigates) of Project 1155 remain in active service with the Russian Navy. They served as the foundation for the development of the deeply modernized Project 1155.1, with some vessels already upgraded to the advanced Project 1155M frigates.

Project 1155M (Rank VI)

In the upcoming War Thunder Mobile content update, the USSR Navy will receive a new missile-equipped ship – Project 1155M. This fast and agile ship is armed with two guided missile launchers and automatic 100-mm cannons.

The primary armament of the ship is the Kh-35 “Uran” guided missile launcher. These missiles are among the best in the game, delivering high damage and capable of destroying any type of enemy ship.

The second launcher on the Project 1155M deck is designed for “Kinzhal” missiles, which deal less damage but boast significantly higher speed. The ship’s artillery includes two AK-100 units with 100-mm automatic cannons. For close combat, the Project 1155M is equipped with torpedoes housed in two torpedo tubes.

The gameplay tactics for the Project 1155M are similar to other missile ships: avoid exposure to large-caliber artillery fire, stay mobile, and focus on targeting enemy ships that pose the greatest threat to your team.

As Project 1155M will frequently face other missile ships, bringing countermeasures to repel incoming missile attacks will be highly advantageous in battle.

The Project 1155M (Rank VI) is available after you reach level 29** in the ship campaign. You can upgrade the campaign level for Golden Eagles instantly to gain access to this ship faster than other players, or you can level up in battle.

Please remember that as soon as Campaign Level 30 becomes available, Level 29, 29* and 29** platoons will merge into a single Level 29. Vehicles purchased for Golden Eagles will remain as a premium even after the levels are merged. The final coefficients on the three vehicles will be the same as the level 29 vehicles.
