Jet aircraft

As we previously announced, Update 1.20 Silver Arrows will conclude the Aircraft Campaign Open Beta test, bringing early jet aircraft and Rank IX. Rank VIII and IX aircraft will be added to the research trees.

With the addition of the new aircraft rank, minor balance changes have been made to the aviation tech trees. The research speed for aircraft in the tech trees has been slightly increased. Accordingly, the cost of some aircraft in all currencies has been slightly reduced.

New location

• New tank location – Alaska.

Please note that after the season starts, the map will be gradually added to the matchmaking rotation by region and may also be temporarily disabled without prior notice.

Season “Silver Arrows”

Complete the Silver Arrows Season combat missions, earn War Bonds and Keys as rewards and unlock trophy containers with valuable prizes for them.

The “Silver Arrows” season will last from October 23rd to November 20th, 2025

War Bonds and Keys cannot be used in the next season. After the end of the current season, War Bonds and Keys will be automatically used to open the relevant trophies in random campaigns. If you want to get rewards from a certain campaign, you have to use the War Bonds and Keys yourself before the end of the season, until 10:00 (GMT) on October 23rd 2025.

Leaderboards

To get into the campaign leaderboard, you need to fight at least 5 battles using vehicles from the relevant campaign (tank and ship take-offs don't count for access to the Aviation Campaign).

The rating season ends on November 13th, 2025 at 10:00 (GMT). Rewards will be distributed within a few days after the leaderboards are frozen. It’s important to note that rewards may be given out at different times for different leaderboards.

Battle Pass

Complete special tasks, level up your Battle Pass and receive rewards for your completed steps.

When you purchase the VIP pass, you instantly receive special camouflages for one vehicle from the trophies of each campaign, as well as automatically completing 10 steps from the Battle Pass lineup. If you have already purchased an upgraded BP, the cost of the VIP pass will be reduced.

The unique camouflages are given when you purchase a VIP pass no matter if you have a vehicle.

Customization: Decals

In Season 1.20, we are introducing a new vehicle customization mechanic – decals! To view all available decals, please, open "Hangar → Customization → Decals".

To apply a decal, select an available design and click the "Apply" button in an empty slot on the right under the list. After that, the decal editing menu will open on the vehicle. You can move the image, change its size, rotation, mirror it, or place it on symmetrical zones on the vehicle. Don't forget to save the final result!

Premium vehicles have 4 decal slots available, while standard vehicles have 2 slots. Two additional slots become available on standard vehicles when a Premium Account is active.

Some decals are available by default, some can be purchased for Golden Eagles directly in the decals menu, and the most interesting thematic decals will be offered as rewards for participating in various in-game events and activities.

• Player-controlled ground vehicles now feature unique engine, track, and gun sounds. Corresponding allied and enemy ground vehicles also received unique gun sounds. The language selection settings now includes an option for choosing the type of crew voice-overs:
  • According to the client language;
  • According to the crew's nation.

Other

• The fonts in the new interface have been standardized, and text that extended beyond the boundaries of buttons has been fixed.
• A bug in the armor protection analysis color scheme has been fixed.
• T-28E and 2S25M – the tank class labels in the vehicle cards have been corrected.
• Type 89 – the rank has been changed from VIII to IX; smoke shells have been removed from the Arsenal menu, as they are not available on this tank.
• A bug that caused the game to prompt to select an aircraft for research in the Aircraft Campaign when all vehicles had been researched has been fixed.
• A tooltip explaining the vehicle class icons has been added to the ground vehicle filter search window.
• The "Reload Style" setting is set by default to fill the button with color when reloading. To change the style, please open "Settings → Controls → Common".

• The display of Rank XIV above the button to enter a tank battle has been fixed.
• A bug that caused the game to freeze during battle on Motorola Moto G20 devices has been fixed.
• A bug that caused HE and HEAT shells to ignore enemy vehicle armor has been fixed. [i] Please note that the bug has been fixed in battle only. The bug in the armor protection analysis will be corrected with the next major technical update.
• On iOS devices, War Thunder Mobile has been connected to Game Center, and achievements have been added.
• The Czechoslovakian flag has been added to the icon of the M53/59 collector's vehicle.

Announcement

During season 1.20, War Thunder Mobile players can look forward to a variety of in-game activities.
