📦 The Medium Trophy contains the battleship HMS Barham, the epitome of British might!

Historical Note

The introduction of the Queen Elizabeth class battleships was a revolution for the navy. The unrivaled power of the main caliber, reinforced armor and fully oil-heated boilers made this project so successful that the Admiralty decided to cancel the construction of one of the battlecruisers in favor of one more Queen Elizabeth class battleship.

The battleship Barham was launched in the autumn of 1914 and took part in the Battle of Jutland. From the early days of World War II, Barham was also used extensively in the Mediterranean Sea. While escorting a Maltese convoy in November 1941, the battleship was successfully torpedoed by the German submarine U-331. There was a colossal explosion on board, which was caught on newsreel footage.

The HMS Barham battleship is an example of one of the best Queen Elizabeth types of its time: the firepower and armor of a super-dreadnought with the best speed in the British fleet. A classic of naval battles and the pride of the Royal Navy!

HMS Barham is armed with eight 381mm guns in four turrets. Fourteen 152mm cannons in single-barrel mounts, seven per side, complement them. This is one of the most powerful ships in the game. The defense and survivability of the HMS Barham allow it to engage several opponents at once.

The main feature of HMS Barham will be its speed – for all the hallmarks of a super-dreadnought, it is the fastest British ship of the First World War period and one of the fastest battleships of its rank.

The defense against airborne threats is very weak, as there were no serious airborne threats when the battleship was built. The battleship can meet attacking planes with only a couple of 76mm guns, which can be easily dodged. However, HMS Barham has four underwater torpedo tubes below the waterline.

In the game HMS Barham is an excellent battleship, one of the main ships in the battle. The giant turrets of the ship have a low turn rate, so it is desirable to think over the route map in advance.

Concentrate on destroying the toughest targets in the enemy team and try to aim carefully before each salvo – after all, the reloading speed of the huge cannons is low, and a successful shot can change the tactical situation in the battle.
