Historical note

The PzH2000 self-propelled howitzer was a joint development of German concerns Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The prototypes were submitted for testing in 1995, and in 1998 the vehicle began to be delivered to the army.

The PzH 2000 was also produced for export, in addition to equipping its own army. Thus, in 2018, Hungary placed an order for 24 vehicles to replace the obsolete Soviet D-20s.

PzH 2000HU

What is this giant? This is the famous PzH2000, one of the most advanced self-propelled artillery systems in the world! The long-barreled howitzer accelerates huge 155 mm HE shells to very high speeds. The vehicle itself is notable for its considerable size and weight and is characterized by good mobility. Today we get acquainted with the leader of the new Italian platoon – the PzH2000!

In the PzH 2000HU's ammo kit you will find several types of HE shells (including a HE-VT), as well as a smoke shell to create a smoke screen from a distance.

The shells are supplied by the automatic loader. The first two shots are fired at a rate of 12 rounds per minute, the next ones at a rate of 8 rounds per minute.

The defense of the machine is weak, and it is quite large, so you should choose the shelter properly. Among the big pluses of the PzH 2000HU is its mobility. The howitzer moves on par with the best medium tanks, and can move backward at the same speed as forward. These are very valuable qualities for a sniper!
