Fans of naval battles will enjoy a battleship Dunkerque with a fantastic discount. And those who can't live without the sky, will be able to replenish their hangars with a P-61C-1 fighter!
The key advantage of modernizing Soviet T-72 tanks for the Syrian army was the TURMS-T fire control system. It was developed by the Italian company Officine Galileo. This FCS was installed on the C1 Ariete family of tanks, and in the early 2000s, the version was adapted for use on the T-72. The system includes a high-resolution thermal imaging sight and an advanced panoramic commander's sight. By 2006, 122 TURMS-T systems had been produced for the Syrian army. They were installed on T-72AV tanks equipped with Kontakt-1 ERA.
The modern modification of the T-72 tanks for the Syrian army is now available in War Thunder Mobile! This is a well-balanced tank that features high firepower and decent protection while maintaining good speed. Please welcome the T-72AV (TURMS-T)!
Tanks of the T-72 family are often seen in high-tier battles. The T-72AV (TURMS-T) continues the tradition of its model line, retaining both the main advantages and disadvantages of the series. The 125 mm gun of the Syrian T-72AV (TURMS-T) can't fire guided missiles. However, its arsenal includes two APFSDS shells, including the 3BM42 “Mango,” which can penetrate almost all opponents in its tier. The commander can also use HEATFS and HE shells in battle.
The protection of the T-72AV (TURMS-T) in some areas (for example, in the front projection of the turret or in the area of the upper frontal part of the hull) is so high that only the most powerful armor-piercing shells in the rank can penetrate it. The combined protection of the tank is supplemented by ERA. It effectively deals with HEAT and early ATGMs.
The T-72AV (TURMS-T) is well suited for the sniper or second-line tank role. On urban maps, it can actively storm key points. It is worth remembering some of the nuances of the T-72 family that may limit their tactics. First, it has very low reverse speed. Second, its gun elevation angle is insufficient. Like all vehicles in this series, the T-72AV (TURMS-T) fires on the move between cover and prefers flat terrain and urban areas out of all map types.
Here are the other soldiers in the new Soviet Rank IX platoon!
The 2S25 Sprut-SD combat vehicle features a 125 mm tank gun mounted on a light and maneuverable tracked platform. It uses the same shells as the platoon leader, including the 3BM42 APFSDS shells. Commanders will also be able to launch ATGMs from the barrel.
The Shturm-S ATGM launcher continues the tradition of the much-loved IT-1 missile tank. The vehicle can be completely hidden from enemies behind cover, exposing only the launchers for guided missiles. There are four types of missiles, including tandems, ATGM-HE and ATGM-VT missiles.
Another interesting unit in the platoon is the 2S38 combat vehicle. The 2S38 is armed with a 57 mm autocannon with an automatic loading system. Its combat loading includes HE-VT shells for destroying aircraft and APFSDS shells for destroying heavily armored ground vehicles. Highly effective APCBC shells penetrate the hulls of most enemies.
The battleship Dunkerque became the lead ship in a series of two battleships designed to meet the requirements of the Washington Naval Treaty. It was launched in 1935 and entered service with the French Navy at the end of 1936. With the outbreak of war, Dunkerque was assigned to intercept German cruisers of the Deutschland class. However, in the spring of 1940, the ship was sent to the Mediterranean to counter Italy. After the signing of the Compiègne Armistice, the French fleet in the port of Mers-el-Kébir was attacked by British troops. Dunkerque was severely damaged, towed to Toulon, and underwent lengthy repairs. After the occupation of Vichy France by Germany, the crew scuttled the ship to prevent its capture. The battleship remained submerged in Toulon until the end of the war. The ship was finally decommissioned in 1955.
The premium battleship Dunkerque has a very rare weapon layout for the game and features decent maneuverability for its class.
Dunkerque is one of the few ships in the game whose main caliber is concentrated at the bow. The main armament of the battleship consists of eight 330 mm guns, spread across two superimposed turrets, four guns in each. Commanders of the Dunkerque will be able to aim all of their main caliber along the course of travel without having to expose the side of the ship to enemy fire!
At the same time, all of the ship's secondary armament is located closer to the stern — sixteen 130 mm guns in three four-barrel and two double-barrel turrets. These guns have a higher rate of fire but cause less damage, which can be particularly useful in close combat. However, the battleship's AA battery is rather weak, consisting of only a few non-automatic 37 mm guns.
The ship's armor is quite light for its class. According to the shipbuilders' plan, the main opponents of the Dunkerque were supposed to be cruisers, so it was advisable to keep a distance in battles against other battleships. At the same time, the Dunkerque has fairly good maneuverability for a battleship and can operate in formation with cruisers, supporting the group with powerful fire from its main guns.
The P-61C-1 was a further development of the American twin-engine fighter with radar. Initially, the P-61 Black Widow was designed to participate in a competition held by the Royal Air Force. However, the US Air Force became interested in Northrop's work. The first version of the aircraft (P-61A) was adopted in 1942 and underwent extensive modernization. To create a high-altitude version of the aircraft, subcontractor Goodyear installed more powerful engines and added additional suspension points for weapons. The new P-61C-1 aircraft entered serial production in 1945. After the release of several dozen high-altitude Black Widows, production was closed as unpromising – the era of jet aviation was dawning.
The P-61C-1 Black Widow is a highly unusual aircraft, from its design and equipment to its impressive defensive armament and excellent payload for a fighter. The Black Widow is a weapon for the brave!
The P-61C-1 was designed as a high-altitude bomber interceptor and is equipped with radar and forward-firing weapons consisting of four 20 mm cannons. The cannons located under the cockpit are very easy to aim, and the large ammo load allows for long bursts.
Another remarkable feature of the Widow is its rotating remote-controlled turret with four large-caliber Browning guns on the upper part of the fuselage. The turret covers the entire upper hemisphere of this heavy fighter. This allows it to shoot down high-altitude bombers and quickly get rid of greedy fighters diving at the clumsy-looking aircraft.
The third important advantage of the P-61C-1 is its extensive bomb armament. In battle, the “Widow” can carry four bombs weighing 500 or 1,000 pounds. With this loadout, the P-61C-1 becomes an excellent strike aircraft: bombs for heavy targets, cannons for pillboxes and ground units, and a reliable turret provides cover from above. While the P-61C-1 couldn't boast outstanding speed as a fighter, as a strike aircraft it flew even faster than most attack aircraft.
Don’t miss the fantastic chance to buy great premium vehicles at a discount and receive bonus Big Trophy keys from the “United Front” season.
