[Coming Soon] Non-contact death and Chinese armored vehicles

Revolutionary HE-VT shells and a Chinese anti-aircraft gun, ready to use them to shoot down enemy aircraft!

New mechanics – shells with proximity fuzes

The next major update will bring the long-awaited proximity fuze shell mechanics to the game. This revolutionary invention from World War II allowed the full power of high-explosive shells to be turned against skittish targets that were difficult to hit directly, primarily airplanes. The introduction of proximity fuzed shells tripled the effectiveness of British air defense!

The radar built into the shell automatically detonates it when it gets close enough to the target – the damage can be fatal even if it misses! Here's what it looks like:

The HE-VT shells will appear on the WZ305, and will also be added to the existing Rank IX vehicle, the Italian IFV VCC-80/60.

Type 69-IIa Platoon (Rank VII)

The first Chinese MBTs, the Type 59, were produced with the active participation of the USSR, and after the deterioration of relations between the two countries, China began trying to modernize its tanks on its own. The USSR still participated in the development of the next generation of MBTs, although not of its own volition: during the conflict on the Damansky Island, China received a trophy T-62. Its technologies were used in the development of the Type 69.

Due to their simplicity and low price, the Type 69 tanks were in demand in many countries in Asia and Africa. Export versions were designated Type 69-II and were equipped with rubber side skirts, updated fire control system and smoke grenade launchers. The Type 69-IIa version, created especially for the Iraqi army, was equipped with protection of the crew from weapons of mass destruction.

Type 69-IIa

The Type 69-IIa was equipped with the Type 59 100 mm rifled gun with good APHE shells, smoke screen system and lattice screens around the turret. Thanks to numerous improvements, the tank's combat performance increased significantly compared to its earlier versions and reached the level of the Soviet T-55A tank.

The Type 69-IIa is best used for ambush attacks, because its speed is low and its armor doesn't allow you to take risks in an open confrontation. It will feel especially good on urban maps, where it is easy to sneak up on the enemy from the flank and destroy him with a single shot, as well as on open locations – as a sniper.

The Type 69-IIa will arrive in your hangars in the good company of its compatriots! Let's meet them.

Type 59 – an improved version of the Soviet T-54 with a vertical stabilizer that allows you to make a precise shot on the move. Take advantage of this to send powerful APHE shells into slowing enemies!

M41D – light tank for masters of the craft. Waiting for enemies and allies to converge in combat, it can “pop up” in unexpected places, “sting” enemies at vulnerable points and immediately hide. Stay safe and remember that your role is support!

WZ305 – this anti-aircraft gun can effectively fight tanks by flanking them, but its main feature is its HE-VT DKY-1 shells, which are ready to leave enemy aircraft in the dark.

The Type 69-IIa Platoon (Rank VII) will be available from the Big Trophy of the Tank Campaign or from an offer after the start of the Season.
