Major Technical Update 1.12

Improvements, fixes, and balance changes.

Tanks

  • A bug that caused the visual effect of a shot to attach to the gun even after the shot was fired has been fixed.
  • A bug that where it was possible to tap on an inactive repair button when the engine was knocked out or wheels were shot off has been fixed. Once pressed, it started a full repair instead of an automatic repair, which does not consume repair kits.
  • A bug that caused aircraft preposition markers in the tank campaign to be visible through smoke has been fixed.
  • A visual bug that caused the repair button to be active in ground vehicles during a fire has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused bushes to disappear from the premium camouflage for vehicles in the Chi-Nu II platoon in the hangar has been fixed.
  • The gun direction marker on the ZBD04A has been fixed.
  • The fire rate of the ZTZ59D1 and Type 69-IIa tanks has been corrected: the reload speed on these vehicles is now 7.5 seconds instead of 8.6 seconds at maximum upgrade.

Ships

  • HMS Vampire – the speed has been increased by 10%. A bug that caused the torpedoes to reload when there were torpedoes remaining to be fired has been fixed. The reload time between torpedo salvos has been increased by 50%.
  • USS Mitscher – the reload time of main caliber guns has been reduced from 3.7 to 2.5 seconds. The reload time of auxiliary caliber guns has been reduced from 3.7 to 1.7 seconds. The aiming angles of the torpedo tubes have been changed: now the entire torpedo salvo will be fired from the side at which the target is located. The number of torpedoes in the ship’s ammo has been increased to 24.
  • RN Zara – the reconnaissance aircraft has been replaced by the historically correct Ro.43.
  • HMS Vanguard, Admiral Hipper – the physics of the ships has been reconfigured: now the tilt will be less when maneuvering.
  • IJN Ikoma, Bismarck, Tirpitz – the physics of the ships has been readjusted: now the tilt will be less when maneuvering. Also the minimum elevation angle of the main caliber guns has been changed: now, fire from the side during maneuvers will be more accurate.
  • Type XXI – 15% to the oxygen reserve has been added, 1 torpedo per salvo has been added.
  • USS Balao, USS Billfish, USS Tang, Type VII, Type VII U-305, Type K, L-3, Pr. 641, Pr. 613 – the reload time between torpedo salvos has been increased by 50%.
  • A bug that caused the Exocet missiles on the missile frigate Brandenburg to launch from both launchers when attacking a target located on the left side of the ship has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the torpedoes to rotate 360° to get on the correct course has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the indicator for missiles deflected by countermeasures to not disappear and the timer to continue to show the time to collision has been fixed.

Aircraft

  • A bug that caused the crosshairs to appear below the center of the screen when setting the maximum magnification in the sight on the Bf 109 G-6 has been fixed.
  • The reload speed of machine guns and cannons has been fixed globally: it was 60 seconds for cannons and 30 seconds for machine guns, now it is 36 seconds for cannons and 24 seconds for machine guns.
  • The visualization of a non-penetration and ricochet when firing low-caliber machine guns at ground armored targets has been added.
  • An inscription about critical and fatal damage inflicted by your aircraft to the enemy aircraft has been added. The enemy's nickname is now displayed as well.
  • Some bugs in the tutorial mode have been fixed. The interface has been improved.
  • A bug that led to the accrual of points for destroying a bridge has been fixed.
  • A 2500 kg bomb has been added to the selection of available outboard weapons for the Ju 288 C aircraft.
  • Players will now receive a reward when they level up an aircraft. The design of the window for receiving these rewards has been improved.

Locations

  • Boats on the “Tropical Islands” location no longer sail under the islands.
  • A bug that caused the water level behind the dam to be higher than displayed on the “Alpine Meadows” location has been fixed.
  • The physics of destroying aerostats on the “Normandy” location has been improved.

Vehicle Optimization

The WTM team regularly optimizes vehicle models and fixes bugs in them. The following vehicle models have been optimized:

  • AMX-30 DCA
  • PGZ09

The following bugs in ground vehicle models have been fixed:

  • T-72B (1989) – at low and medium graphics settings, the dynamic defense was in the air when the side of the tank was detached.
  • Falcon – there was no collision in the sides and back of the turret, shells flew through.
  • T-72B (1989) – when the gun mask cover was torn off, there was no protective visor under it at low graphics settings.
  • PGZ09 – there was a rebar sticking out of the radar when it was folded.

UI/UX

  • The design of the HUD window (menu in battle) has been changed.
  • An option to link an email for alternative authorization via Gaijin ID has been added to the User Profile on Android.
  • The “Link email” button has been added to the player's Profile on the guest account. The functionality of linking an email to an account has been improved.
  • An option to enable/disable the display of the direction indicator in the aiming mode has been added to the tank settings.
  • An option to choose whether to equip a new vehicle or keep the previous one has been added to the tank and ship campaigns when getting vehicles. In the aircraft campaign, a new aircraft is equipped immediately if there are free slots.
  • Camera rotation with swipes now works through all UI buttons except stick, slider, motion control arrows and the air bomb drop button.
  • A bug that could cause stat columns to be layered when opening a player profile in battle has been fixed.
  • Typos in the list of spent consumables in the post-battle statistics window have been corrected in the ship and tank campaign.
  • The font and size of the message about enemy destructions have been increased in all campaigns.
  • The size of enemy icons on the mini-map has been increased in tank and ship campaigns.
  • The interface of the radio message editor has been improved.
  • A bug that caused the “New” marker to be missing in the Hangar when an aircraft was levelled up has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the vehicle characteristics animation to display incorrectly when switching from the lead tank to other tanks in the platoon in the Hangar has been fixed.

Gamepad

  • A number of interface and control issues have been fixed for the Nintendo Switch Pro controller.
  • Shortcuts for some game functions (such as exiting the settings menu in battle) have been added.
  • The gamepad type detection has been improved.

Other

  • A number of issues causing decals to disappear on vehicles in battle and in the Hangar have been fixed.
  • Some issues causing “split screen” and graphic artifacts when minimizing the game client have been fixed.
  • Some issues that could cause multicolored trees to appear have been fixed.
  • Now, when there are no resources for an online battle, the game client will show low-polygonal vehicle models instead of crashing the game.
  • A bug that could cause the game version update request window to be displayed more than once has been fixed.
  • A bug that could cause the game to crash when viewing vehicles in a branch for a long time has been fixed.
  • A bug that could cause bots in tank and aircraft battles to fail to spawn after their first death has been fixed.
  • A number of bugs with displaying avatars for bots have been fixed.
  • Silver Lions for the “Happy New Year!” match award will no longer count towards the Common Leaderboard.
  • System sounds have been added to the crew upgrade window in the aircraft campaign.
  • The old game backups are now not saved to iCloud on iOS devices.
