The "Project 57 bis" destroyers were specifically designed to serve as carriers for the KSSh anti-ship missile system equipped with P-1 "Arrow" guided missiles. The first ship of this series was the "Gnevnyy" destroyer, which entered service in 1960, marking the world's first deployment of a serial anti-ship missile system aboard a vessel. In total, nine ships were laid down as part of this series, with eight of them undergoing active modernization throughout their operational tenure. The ships of the "Gnevnyy" project were in service with the four fleets of the USSR until the early 1980s.

Introducing the latest addition to the naval forces of War Thunder Mobile – the "Gnevnyy" destroyer! This vessel is the world's first ship purposefully outfitted with an anti-ship missile system. Armed with two launchers housing P-1 "Arrow" missiles, each carrying a warhead exceeding 600 kg, the "Gnevnyy" packs a devastating punch. A precise strike from these missiles can swiftly destroy a small ship or inflict critical damage on a larger adversary.

However, like other missile-equipped ships in the game, the "Gnevnyy" remains highly susceptible at its rank to heavy-caliber fire. Therefore, commanders are advised against acting alone heroically. Instead, employing a strategic approach within a group of allied ships can help divert enemy attention and maximize the destructive potential of the anti-ship missiles.

In addition to its guided missiles, the "Gnevnyy" features an impressive secondary armament comprising four 57mm automatic cannons. One launcher can be controlled by the player, the others serve as air defense guns. With a rapid fire rate of 200 rounds per minute per gun, these cannons excel at targeting both aircraft and small vessels with ease.

The destroyers offensive arsenal is complimented by two torpedo tubes, each capable of launching 533mm torpedoes.

Important:

The "Gnevnyy" destroyer (Rank V) is available after you reach level 27* of the ship campaign. You can upgrade the campaign level for Golden Eagles instantly to gain access to this ship faster than other players, or you can level up in battles.

Please remember that as soon as Campaign Level 28 becomes available, Level 27, 27* and 27** platoons will merge into a single Level 27. Vehicles purchased for Golden Eagles will remain as a premium even after the levels are merged. The final coefficients on the three vehicles will be the same as the level 27 vehicles.
