Winter Battles 2024-25!

The Winter Holiday season in War Thunder Mobile is open!

The long-awaited time of magical winter battles and amazing gifts has arrived in War Thunder Mobile!

From December 17th, 2024, till January 8th, 2025 , take part in the themed event and get a unique holiday vehicle in an icy camouflage.

During the event, be prepared to:

fight in special vehicles in the holiday location in the new mode “Capture the Gifts”;
complete exciting holiday tasks;
fire off colorful fireworks;
give and receive holiday gifts with vehicles and valuable rewards;
open Holiday Trophies and receive new vehicles in winter camouflage, decor and other valuable rewards;
exchange New Year bonds for vehicles and decor of the previous season;
enjoy victories and meet the new year 2025 in a great mood!

New mode

Welcome to the new holiday mode – “Capture Gifts”. To win, your team needs to collect the gifts scattered around the location (just “run over” a shiny box) and deliver the loot to your holiday base – under the tree.

Important features of the holiday mode:

you can join the battle by pressing the “To battle!” button, which is located in the lower right corner in the event window;
you can use only special vehicles for battle, you can choose from the list after joining the game session;
the mini-map shows the points where the gifts are spawned and the “bases” of each team – you need to pick up the gifts at the location by running over them on your tank and put them under your tree by driving into the area around the tree marked with a circle;
when you receive a gift, a notification appears above your vehicle, which disappears either after successful delivery of the gift under the tree, or after the destruction of your vehicle;
if the vehicle with the gift is destroyed before it crosses the line at the base, the gift will not be counted;
to win, a team must collect 5 gifts under their tree or destroy all enemy vehicles before they deliver the gifts to their base before you do.

You can shoot off fireworks in tank and ship modes. After using fireworks, one random player in the battle will receive a “Happy New Year!” match award and a bonus of 10,000 Silver Lions after the battle no matter the result of the battle.

You can purchase themed camouflage for vehicles from the holiday mode in the camouflage selection menu, if you have this vehicle in your hangar.

Tasks

On the 1st, 7th and 14th days of the event a group of 5 tasks is opened. Within one day tasks are performed sequentially – to open the next task you need to complete the previous one.

In total, you can get 3300 New Year Bonds over the event:

300 pieces – for the “New Year in WTM!” welcome task;
3000 pieces – for 15 tasks at 200 bonds each.

It takes 30 attempts to hit the jackpot for one campaign. You are guaranteed to get one vehicle from the winter trophy if you complete 14 of the 15 tasks and pick up the welcome gift.

Winter Trophy Rewards

In the Winter Trophy of the Tank Campaign you will find an icy Soviet KV-1S (Rank II) platoon:

The KV-1S is a heavy but very fast tank with a reliable 76mm ZIS-5 cannon;
BT-7A (F-32) – experimental tank with improved 76-mm F-32 gun;
SU-85A – an experimental tank destroyer with a powerful 85-mm gun on a fragile chassis.
ZIS-43 – a jolly truck ready to destroy low-flying planes and disorient the enemy.

The British HMS M1 (Rank II) is waiting for you in the Naval Trophy:

HMS M1 is a belligerent submarine with an extremely powerful 305mm gun for its rank, ready to break the ice for victory.

Aviation fans will get the legendary Soviet Il-2-37 striker (Rank III) from the aircraft trophy:

Il-2-37 – equipped with two 37mm NS-37 cannons, machine guns, a turret, and a couple of bombs, this aircraft will blow both ground and careless flying enemies to icy shards.

The trophies of each campaign contain, in addition to the main reward:

title, avatar and decorator – common to all campaigns;
Golden Eagles and Silver Lions;
boosters;
holiday fireworks sets.

For each opening of the New Year Trophy, you will receive an additional guaranteed bonus of 60 Golden Eagles.

Season 2023-24 Items

In the in-game store you can purchase vehicles and decor from the current and previous season's Winter Battles, including a Surcouf (Rank II) submarine and an IS-1 (Rank IV) platoon in winter camouflage.

During the event, you can receive additional New Year's Bonds from gift boxes (50 pieces for each opened box), which you can buy yourself or receive as a gift from other players.

Hangars and music

The snow-white blanket has wrapped the fields and forests, the frost has bound the rivers and lakes with a strong ice armor, and in the hangars there is a cheerful jingle of bells and sparkling beautiful trees. Look how your hangars have been changed!
