Vehicle Optimization

The WTM team regularly optimizes vehicle models and fixes bugs in them.

The following vehicle models have been optimized:

  • ZSU-23-4 (Shilka)
  • SU-85M
  • Phòng không T-34
  • ZSU-57-2

The following bugs in ground vehicle models have been fixed:

  • The 20 mm cannon model on the KPz-70 differed from the similar cannon on the MBT-70.
  • The inscription on the wheels of the ICV (P) was reversed.
  • When the Dicker Max fired its first shot, the X-ray mode showed that half of the ammunition load was used.
  • The Brummbar’s hull/turret was set to a fixed number of shells, which meant that the tank could be destroyed by the explosion of an empty ammunition load.
  • The ammunition load of the Su-85M in X-ray mode and on the damage model didn’t have detailed shell cutting.
  • The order of smoke grenade firing was wrong for the AMX-30B2 BRENUS, RakJPz 2 (HOT), RakJPz 2, JPz 4-5, and Magach 6B tanks.

New Feature – Repair Assistance

Starting today, you can assist allies with repairs and speed up the repair of their vehicles.

  • If an ally is being repaired, you can drive up to them and assist with the repairs. This speeds up the repair time.
  • When an ally is within assist range, the Repair button changes to the Repair Assistance button.
  • The repair of an ally’s vehicle begins when you tap the Repair Assist button. At this point, neither vehicle can move.
  • Tapping the Repair Assist button again cancels your repair assistance (reduction in repair time), but not the repair started by your ally.
  • If the player’s vehicle needs repair, the Repair button won’t change to the Repair Assist button. The priority is first to repair your own vehicle, then to help your ally with repairs.
  • If a player has finished repairing their vehicle while within the assist range of an allied vehicle, the Repair button will change to the Repair Assist button.
  • Assisting with repair acceleration is free: no repair kit will be spent on the helper.

UI/UX

  • The vehicle name and the active button for opening the vehicle info window have been moved to the center of the Hangar screen above the vehicle.
  • The algorithm for linking an e-mail to a Guest account has been improved: players will receive a notification to relogin into the game with their linked account instead of randomly creating a new Guest account.
  • A bug that caused a teammate to see a squad member as “Online” and not receive a notification about their logout when they left the game without closing the client has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused vibrations when colliding with an object (building) at high speed in tank battles with the “Collision Vibration” setting disabled has been fixed.
  • A number of issues that caused the progress of completed missions to not immediately be displayed in the debriefing window have been fixed.

Other

  • A bug that caused vehicle parts to disappear or overlap each other in the Hangar and in battle has been fixed.
  • The display of selected vehicles in the research tech tree and when viewing tank platoons in the Hangar has been improved.
  • A bug that caused the offer to buy the premium version of the common platoon to remain after the platoon was upgraded to premium version has been fixed.
  • The description of the gift source has been added to the reward window that appears at the start of season events.
  • A number of errors that caused text keys to be displayed instead of the names of guns, shells, etc. in some places have been fixed.
  • A number of visual bugs in the offers scene after updating the ship Hangar have been fixed.
  • The display of the “New” indicator has been improved.
  • The inactive flashing marker is no longer displayed on slots in the aircraft research tree window.

Known issues

The developers are actively working on resolving the following bugs that were found after the update:

  • In tank battles, the sight shifts to objects and obstacles located closer than the enemy.
  • Some players are experiencing an issue where the camera moves upward when frequently switching the crosshair.
  • In Tank Mode, when an enemy is destroyed by a basic weapon, the kill log incorrectly displays the icon for being destroyed by a machine gun.

We wish you victory and a great experience playing War Thunder Mobile (WTM)!
