Improvements, fixes, and balance changes.

New effects

Commanders, in technical update 1.11 we would like to present you with the improved graphic and audio effects of shots and explosions! Volume has been added to the effects, the quality and realism of flames and smoke has been significantly improved.

Install the update and enjoy even more realistic battles in your favorite vehicles!

Tank changes

  • “Sturm-S” – all types of ATGMs provided by the specification are available for use in battle.
  • A bug that caused continuous firing of the machine gun after revival has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused improvements in tank speed and gunner's turret rotation speed to not be displayed in the vehicle card has been fixed.

New aircraft in tank battles

New aircraft have been added to tank battles. Note that there are no HESH belts on fighters to avoid using them as attackers. Here is a list of aircraft added:

  • Rank II – Do 17 Z-2 bomber and La-5 fighter;
  • Rank III – B-25J bomber and Bf 109 F-4 fighter;
  • Rank IV – SB2C-4, Yer-2 (M-105), He 111 H-16 and B-26B bombers, F4U-4B, Fw 190 A-5, La-11 and Bf 109 G-2/trop fighters;
  • Rank V – AD-2 bomber and Fw 190 D-9 fighter;
  • Jets will be added at higher ranks in the future.

Please note that in tank battles there is an opportunity to take off in special aircraft for 60 seconds if you fulfill the corresponding requirements (for example, after you have destroyed 2 or 3 enemy tanks). The choice of planes in tank battles does not depend on your progression in the airplane campaign.

Fleet changes

  • The missile ship cards now display the missile guidance time before launch.
  • Brandenburg – the reload time of MM38 missile launchers has been reduced from 20 to 15 seconds.
  • USS Truxtun – the minimum number of crew has been increased by 20%, this will reduce the survivability of the ship.
  • Bremen – the reload time of RIM-7P missile launchers was increased to 20 seconds.
  • Groznyy – the reload time of M-1 Wave missile launchers was increased from 15 to 20 seconds.
  • HMS Devonshire – the Sea Cat missile trajectory has been changed to a more realistic. This will slow the missile slightly, but will allow it to hit closer targets – the minimum effective range will now be 1.2 km.
  • A bug that caused Sea Cat missiles to fly sideways has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the countermeasure recharge counter to not display until it expires has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the repair button to disappear when ships in combat ran out of available repair kits has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused it to be possible to take off on a plane while waiting for players to load into battle has been fixed.
  • In the cards of some ships the visual discrepancy between the real speed in combat and the speed in the card after upgrading the speed in the Arsenal has been corrected.
  • A bug that caused HMS Brissenden to lack the torpedo improvement tab in the vehicle upgrade window has been fixed.

Changes in aircraft

  • The damage of the aircraft bombs when bombing bases in air assault mode has been reworked. Small bombs are now ineffective for bombing bases. As the explosive mass of the bomb increases, so does its effectiveness in destroying enemy bases, but after a certain value, the increase becomes less noticeable.
  • A bug that caused some ground units to not move has been fixed.
  • Some bombs and missiles have been changed, incorrect weights in pounds and explosive weight in the description in the Aircraft Modifications window have been corrected.
  • A reload button for directional guns has been added.
  • A bug that caused the aircraft to flip over when trying to fly with the bomb drop button held down has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the scope to rotate with the camera when selecting the rear view camera has been fixed.
  • The reason for the non-obvious delay between pressing the bomb drop button and the fact of bomb drop has been fixed. Now when you press the bomb drop button, the bomb hatch opens, and when you cancel the bomb drop, it closes.
  • A bug that caused gyro control (tilt aiming or gyro control of aileron and elevator) to invert the up-down direction when gyro control was enabled has been fixed.
  • A bug caused the reposition marker to not disappear immediately after destroying an enemy has been fixed.

Vehicle Optimization

The WTM team regularly optimizes vehicle models and fixes bugs in them. The following vehicle models have been optimized:

  • Gepard
  • Veak 40
  • Ystervark

The following bugs in vehicle models have been fixed:

  • ZA-35 – holes at the muzzle were missing.
  • M3A3 Bradley – at low graphics settings the track fingers were too protruding on the sides.
  • AMX-30 DCA – at low graphics settings the holes between the track links were too large.
  • The wheels missing at low graphics settings were added to Do 335 A-0, Do 335 A-1, P-43A-1 aircraft models.

UI/UX improvements

  • A hint about the need to increase the engine power of an aircraft in the Airplane Campaign has been added.
  • A bug caused the message about destroying a base to be displayed when an airfield was destroyed has been fixed.
  • New crosshair icons have been added to the airplane campaign; you can select them in the "Settings" section.
  • In airplane battles in the battle exit window it now says “Hangar” instead of “Give up” if all available vehicles are used, not including back-up vehicles. Desertion in this case is not counted.
  • In the information window of the tank battle, when you try to leave the battle after using all free attempts, now the defeat warning is not displayed. If you have used all available free attempts of respawn and want to leave the battle, it will not count as desertion or defeat in a victorious battle.
  • A mistake in displaying information about total weight overruns in the aircraft modification window in the German interface has been corrected.
  • A mistake in displaying of enhanced and accelerated torpedo characteristics in the ship modifications window in the Portuguese interface has been corrected.
  • A regional filter for Chinese has been added, so that names forbidden in a region will not be displayed for users from that region.
  • The display of some fonts in interfaces has been fixed.
  • The daily rewards screen above the trophy list has been updated to show the number of daily logins.
  • A bug that caused jackpot rewards already received to be shown above the trophy in the season information preview window has been fixed.
  • The campaign selection window has been improved – campaign pictures are now smaller.

Other

  • Crew experience boosters that increase the battle experience of all crew slots by 2 times have been added.
  • The option to save weapon settings, apply saved settings, rename saved settings, and delete saved settings from the respawn and armory windows has been added to the airplane campaign.
  • A bug that caused the kill-log in tutorial missions to not display the killing of another bot by a bot has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused flickering of RT-shadows when switching between aircraft in the hangar has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the “Crew is not ready for battle!” notification to appear after researching a Bf 110 G-2 for blueprints when trying to go into a battle on it has been fixed.
  • A bug has been fixed, that caused the progress of tasks for the number of victories on the vehicles of a certain nation to be counted by the first airplane in the squadron. Now the progress is counted for every aircraft in the squadron that took part in the battle.
  • The maximum available modifications are now displayed in the preview cards of premium and “trophy” aircraft that have not yet been obtained.
  • A bug that could cause the same personal offer to be generated several days in a row in the airplane campaign has been fixed.
  • A bug that could cause the same item to appear in a seasonal and personal offer has been fixed.
