In the early 1980s, Italy began work on the development of a versatile IFV tailored for various combat roles. Among the prototypes was the VCC-80/60, featuring a 60-mm gun, automatic loader, and advanced fire control system.

The VCC-80/60 stands out as a unique variant of Western light combat vehicles, primarily due to its 60 mm cannon. This cannon possesses the capability to engage not only light vehicles but also tanks, as its sub-caliber shells offer sufficient penetration power against most encountered medium tanks. Notably, the gun features an automatic loader, ensuring a high rate of fire, and a stabilizer that enables the VCC-80/60 to engage targets while on the move. This feature makes it particularly formidable at close ranges, such as urban environments.

Meet the Centauro I 105 R, a master sniper. This wheeled tank destroyer boasts impressive speed and an accurate 105mm cannon. Despite its light armor, the ROMOR shield blocks protect its turret from autocannon fire and some rockets.

Another wheeled vehicle, the mobile VBC PT2, excels in providing support to allies. Armed with a 25mm autocannon equipped with sub-caliber rounds, it can effectively engage enemy targets on the battlefield.

Lastly, the SIDAM 25 anti-aircraft vehicle provides air defense coverage for the team. It is equipped with four 25mm cannons capable of firing at a rate of 2200 rounds per minute. Additionally, the commander has the option to load both high-explosive and armor-piercing belts for added versatility.

Important

The VCC-80/60 Platoon (Rank IX) becomes accessible once you reach level 16 of the tank campaign. You have the option to instantly upgrade your campaign level using Golden Eagles to gain faster access to this platoon compared to other players, or you can progress through battles to level up.

Please remember that as soon as Campaign Level 17 becomes available, Level 16, 16* and 16** platoons will merge into a single Level 16. Vehicles purchased for Golden Eagles will remain as a premium even after the levels are merged. The final coefficients on the three vehicles will be the same as the level 16 vehicles.
