[Event] Operation Sonnenblume

Achieve numerous glorious victories on German ground or naval vehicles to complete a mission from HQ and earn a distinctive name decorator*!

Operation Sonnenblume

In September 1940, battles erupted in North Africa as Italian troops sought to seize control of the Suez Canal. However, the offensive failed due to inadequate supplies, lack of equipment, and intense resistance.

On February 6, 1941, the Wehrmacht dispatched reinforcements to support Italian forces. The German tank divisions were outfitted with the latest armored vehicles, including PzKpfw III and PzKpfw IV tanks, with some specifically modified for operations in desert terrain.

In early April, the German-Italian forces conducted a successful counteroffensive against the British, reclaiming Cyrenaica. It wasn't until 1942 that the Allied forces managed to expel the unified Axis forces from Libya.
