T-80U E1 (Rank XIII)
Historical note
The T-80U-E1 main battle tank resulted from a modernization program aimed at bringing T-80BV tanks up to a more contemporary standard. The primary objectives were to upgrade the running gear to T-80U specification and integrate the combat compartment from the T-80UD variant.
One of the key innovations was the integration of an advanced sighting system featuring a second-generation thermal imager. Overhaul and conversion of earlier T-80 variants to the T-80U-E1 standard were carried out by the Omsk Transport Engineering Plant.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: Excellent frontal armor protection, APFSDS with over 530 mm of penetration, ATGMs, autoloader, and high speed.
- Weaknesses: Mediocre reverse speed and cramped internal layout.
- Role in battle: A well-protected main battle tank, particularly effective in point defense and urban combat.

In battle
The T-80U-E1 is one of the most advanced variants in the T-80 family. Tanks of this series are known for their high survivability and the T-80U-E1 is no exception. Its armor package combines passive protection with Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor. From the frontal arc, the tank presents only two weak points – around the driver's position and the gun mantlet – making penetrating the T-80 series no easy task in a firefight.

The tank is armed with a 125 mm gun-launcher fed by a carousel-type autoloader. Its ammunition load includes several types of APFSDS rounds among them the Svinets, with over 530 mm of penetration, as well as anti-tank guided missiles.
Note that the carousel autoloader maintains a consistent 6-second reload time regardless of crew skill – worth keeping in mind when assembling a platoon for four-spawn missions, particularly if one of your crews is less experienced than the others.

Unlike the T-72 series, reverse speed is not a critical weakness here, though backward movement is far from rapid. When moving forward, the T-80U-E1 is fully competitive with the best tanks of other nations.

With its robust protection and effective ammunition, the T-80U-E1 performs confidently in virtually any engagement. Its true strength, however, lies in defending capture points in urban environments, where the excellent frontal armor of the hull and turret can be brought fully to bear against approaching opponents.
SMS König (Rank III)
Historical note
The battleship SMS König (German for "King") was the lead ship of her class and entered service with the Imperial German Navy in August 1914, shortly after the outbreak of World War I. At the Battle of Jutland, König led the German line and bore the brunt of British artillery fire. She sustained several hits, including from the battleship HMS Iron Duke, took on approximately 1,600 tons of water, yet maintained way and returned to port under her own power for repairs.
Following the armistice of November 1918, SMS König was interned at the British naval base at Scapa Flow alongside the remainder of the High Seas Fleet, and was subsequently scuttled by her crew. Her hull remains on the bay floor to this day – a popular diving site, lying at relatively shallow depth and remarkably well preserved.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: Powerful armor, strong main battery armament, and torpedoes.
- Weaknesses: Low speed.
- Role in battle: A classic dreadnought – slow, but heavily armed and armored.

In battle
Before us stands one of the key protagonists of the famous Battle of Jutland – the Imperial German Navy's battleship SMS König. She embodied the most advanced shipbuilding principles of her era: a uniform main battery, a superfiring turret arrangement along the centreline allowing full broadside salvos from all main guns, and armor protection considered world-class for her time.
SMS König's main battery fires 305 mm shells – not the largest caliber at its rank, but ten barrels across five turrets and a higher rate of fire make it fully competitive among the capital ships of the early 20th century.

König's greatest advantage, however, is its formidable armor. Its exceptional survivability allows the ship to absorb sustained fire from multiple opponents and remain in the fight.
Meteor F Mk.8 Reaper (Rank IX)
Historical note
The experimental fighter-bomber Reaper (English for "grim reaper") was based on the Gloster Meteor F Mk.8 and designed to carry twice the ordnance load of the standard F Mk.8, making it a promising strike platform for the Royal Air Force. However, combat experience with the Meteor F Mk.8 during the Korean War revealed that the airframe had reached its technological limits. In aerial combat against Soviet MiG-15s, it became clear that the Meteor was outclassed by the newer generation of fighters in speed, maneuverability, and armament.
The introduction of more advanced aircraft into RAF service, including the Hawker Hunter and Supermarine Swift as well as comparable foreign designs, rendered further development of the Reaper impractical.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: Extensive strike arsenal, strong forward-firing armament, and high speed.
- Weaknesses: Average climb rate and reduced maneuverability under a full ordnance load.
- Role in battle: A fast, responsive jet fighter with a formidable suspended armament arsenal.

In battle
The prototype strike variant of the legendary Meteor will stand as one of the most interesting aircraft in the tech tree. Its Rolls-Royce Derwent 8 engines deliver high speed and excellent acceleration, while the clipped wings improve roll rate and overall performance in vertical maneuvers.
The Reaper's defining distinction, however, is its doubled suspended armament compared to other Meteor variants – up to 24 RP-3 rockets for engaging ground targets and up to four 1,000 lb bombs for destroying pillboxes and bases. A formidable strike loadout by any standard.

Fast and responsive, the Reaper can strike ground targets and immediately transition into aerial combat, where its four 20 mm cannons are more than capable of dispatching any opponent.
