[Coming soon] Commander’s "Tiger"

The latest premium platoon from Germany features Ferdinand Porsche's experimental Tiger, configured into a commander's tank!

Platoon Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P (Rank IV)

Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P

Ferdinand Porsche was confident that his tank would win the competition held by the Wehrmacht High Command for the Tigers. Consequently, even before the main testing phase commenced, several hundred ready-made chassis were built at the Porsche factory. However, the commission ultimately favored the Henschel model. The unused Porsche chassis were repurposed into Ferdinand tank destroyers. One of these tanks was modified into a commander's vehicle, receiving upgrades such as improved radio equipment, an additional 100 mm armor plate on the frontal hull, and new engines. This modified Tiger was the sole Porsche Tiger to see combat.

The Premium Panzerbefehlswagen VI P (Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P) stands as an experimental heavy tank specifically designed for commanding. It boasts several advantages over conventional Tigers, including reinforced armor on the hull front, the ability to fire sub-caliber rounds from its 88mm gun, and impressive reverse speed.

The Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P has its weaknesses, notably in the more vulnerable areas of the hull cheekbones. Consequently, it's preferable to engage enemies head-on to maximize protection, as the frontal hull armor of this commander's Tiger surpasses that of its counterparts. Additionally, its dynamics leave something to be desired and must be taken into account during engagements.

Conversely, the Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P boasts excellent reverse speed, facilitating swift retreats to cover after firing. It's a tank favored by skilled tacticians. With an understanding of its few weaknesses, an experienced commander can effectively engage enemies, even when operating alone.

The VK 3002 (M) medium tank is a prototype of the famous Panther, boasting lighter armor and enhanced mobility. It serves as an excellent all-purpose tank, ideal for providing support to allies and capturing strategic points on the battlefield.

The Ostwind anti-aircraft gun, equipped with a 37mm automatic cannon, was initially designed to combat low-flying aircraft. However, when loaded with armor-piercing shells, this vehicle transforms into an excellent fighter against light armor as well!

The Nashorn tank destroyer features an exposed fighting compartment and thin armor. However, its highly accurate gun, coupled with potent high-explosive shells, positions this tank as an expert sniper on the battlefield.

The Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P (Rank IV) Platoon will be available in the Medium Trophy of the Tank Campaign with the start of the new Season.
