A British heavy cruiser and an American dreadnought will soon be making their appearance in White Cliffs — meet the veterans of WWII naval operations who will be available as trophy rewards in the next major War Thunder Mobile update!
The white rocks known as the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head are iconic symbols of Britain. Famous movies are filmed here, paintings are created, and dates are arranged. War Thunder Mobile designers could not resist the charm of these places and created a magnificent sea location — White Rocks — a contrasting scene filled with shades of blue and white, echoing the seasonal storms and tranquility of ancient chalk deposits.
The location is spacious, without treacherous underwater rocks and unexpected shallow waters, making it convenient for maneuvering and long-range firefights. Three large islands will be an excellent hiding place for aviation enthusiasts, and five small islands will allow you to stay out of the enemy captain's sight for a while, repair damaged gear, and launch a surprise attack on the unsuspecting enemy from the rear.
USS Arkansas (BB-33) is a true war hero. A World War I veteran, the battleship dreadnought participated in the Allied landings of Normandy in 1944, the Iwo Jima landings, and other military operations. Despite its age, the Arkansas was able to survive a nuclear attack when it was only half a kilometer away from the epicenter of a 23-kiloton explosion during the testing of this type of weapon. Enhanced defenses, formidable weaponry, and excellent air defense capabilities make the premium USS Arkansas one of the best dreadnoughts equipped with 12-inch guns.
A heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy of Great Britain, named after an English county, Cornwall patrolled the Indian and Atlantic Oceans during World War II, escorted convoys, and sank the German cruiser Penguin. In April 1942, during a raid by Japanese aircraft carriers in the Indian Ocean, this British cruiser was sunk in an air raid near the Maldives.
In the game, the premium HMS Cornwall will remain vulnerable to air attacks but will be capable of delivering potent blows to enemy ships with torpedoes and fast-firing cannons.
See you at sea, captains!
