Commanders!
We are pleased that clans are officially coming to War Thunder Mobile. Create your own community, recruit members, communicate in the clan chat, and achieve success together — shoulder to shoulder on the ground, at sea, and in the skies.
Creating a Clan
Clans will become available to players who have reached Level 5 in any campaign. Creating a clan costs 990 Golden Eagles.
The clan founder gains access to an editor where they can configure the following:
- Name (subject to the game rules)
- Logo
- Description — so that prospective members understand your goals and playstyle
- Preferred communication language and region
- Campaigns the clan focuses on
- Joining method — open access or by application
The clan leader can update the avatar, description, joining method, and preferred campaigns at any time, and can also manage member ranks.
If the leader is absent for more than 30 days, leadership automatically transfers to the player with the highest rank, and the old leader is given the “Founder” role. 30 days later, the new leader may remove the inactive founder from the clan.
If a clan name violates the game rules, the Administration reserves the right to rename or disband the clan.
Clan Benefits
A clan can consist of 1 to 30 players. Upon joining a clan, you gain:
- Access to the clan chat — for communication, coordination, tactical discussion, and sharing highlights.
- Clan tasks that reward blueprints for clan vehicles.
- The ability to create a squad with clanmates, even if they are not on your friends list.
When creating a clan squad, you can pre-set matchmaking parameters — campaign, rank, and application type (automatic or manual). Your application will be visible to all members of your clan.
One important note: clans are designed primarily for communication and playing together. No unique combat advantages over clanless players are currently planned — only team spirit and a shared cause.
Clan Vehicles
Special vehicles are coming to the game alongside clans, unlockable with clan blueprints. Each player completes clan tasks independently, fulfilling the clan's overall progress bar. All clan members receive a reward weekly.
After obtaining 1,000 blueprints, clan vehicles can be ordered without spending silver. Any blueprints or vehicles already obtained are retained if you leave a clan.
Т-90М (Arena-M) (Rank XIV)
Historical Note
The T-90M main battle tank was developed under the "Proryv" (Breakthrough) modernization program. The new design introduced a welded turret of a new configuration, "Relikt" explosive reactive armor, an upgraded engine, and a modern fire control system.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: Reinforced turret, "Relikt" ERA, and capable armor-piercing shells.
- Weaknesses: Average mobility, and low reverse speed.
- Role in battle: One of the finest modern Russian MBTs, combining solid protection with high firepower.
In Battle
The T-90M (Arena-M) is a versatile MBT distinguished by solid protection and a rapid-firing gun excellent penetrating capability. Its armor combines steel and composite elements with blocks of "Relikt" explosive reactive armor.
The centrally mounted autoloader reloads the 125 mm gun in 7 seconds, and the 3BM60 "Svinets" APFSDS round is capable of defeating the toughest zones on almost any opposing tank.
Pr. 1164 (Rank VII)
Historical Note
The lead cruiser of Project 1164 entered service in late 1982. A total of four ships were built in the series, one of which — the "Varyag" — remains the flagship of Russia’s Pacific Fleet to this day.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: "Vulkan" anti-ship missiles, S-300F and "Osa" anti-aircraft missiles, 130 mm AK-130 automatic cannon, torpedoes, and an all-round anti-missile defense system.
- Weaknesses: Large dimensions, and a lengthy missile launcher reload.
- Role in battle: A heavy missile cruiser with a devastating salvo and robust all-round protection.
In Battle
Project 1164 is one of the most capable Russian missile ships in the game. Each salvo combines some of the most powerful anti-ship missiles available — the "Vulkan" — with a rapid volley of "Osa" and S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. To counter an incoming enemy salvo, the commander can activate the automatic six-barrel CIWS, which provides all-round defense for a short window after activation.
Project 1164 is also one of the largest missile ships in the game, making effective use of cover a genuine challenge even for the most experienced commanders.
L-39ZA/ART Albatros (Rank VIII)
Historical Note
The L-39ZA/ART Albatros is a dedicated modification of the widely used Czechoslovak trainer-combat aircraft, developed for the Royal Thai Air Force. The contract covered the delivery of 36 aircraft, with a further 4 delivered in 1997. The "Albatros" remained in service with the Royal Thai Air Force until 2021.
Brief Overview
- Strengths: Ground-attack payloads including rockets and bombs, decent speed, and excellent maneuverability.
- Weaknesses: Mediocre acceleration and a limited 23 mm cannon ammunition load.
- Role in battle: A jet attacker capable of maneuvering in air combat at low altitude.
In Battle
The L-39ZA/ART Albatros arrives in War Thunder Mobile as one of the most modern aircraft in the game. Designed as a low-cost trainer-combat aircraft, it is tasked with reconnaissance and ground-attack strikes. The "Albatros" carries 500 and 750 lb bombs alongside unguided rocket pods, and a 23 mm autocannon for air combat.
The "Albatros" is particularly effective at low altitude, from where it can strike ground targets and engage in air combat when the situation demands.
Development Plans
Clan leagues are planned for a future update: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each season will run for 7 days, followed by 7 days allocated for rewards and a training period — after which the cycle repeats. Clans will advance and drop between leagues and receive valuable rewards that will, on average for active clans, exceed the current rewards of individual ratings.
The rating system itself will also be reworked: ratings will become more dynamic and require genuine skill to earn meaningful rewards. The overall rating based on Silver earnings will be removed from the game — this will be announced in advance ahead of the relevant season.
