[Coming Soon] Tank Campaign: Rank XIV
Introducing the new Rank and the first researchable vehicles arriving in each nation's tech tree.
The long-awaited moment has arrived – Rank XIV is coming to the Ground Forces campaign in the upcoming update. The most powerful and modern vehicles, high-stakes gameplay, and increased reward multipliers await – just a few weeks away.
Prepare your vehicles for a new era of armored warfare.
New Researchable Vehicles
The pinnacle of engineering from their respective nations – true top-tier tanks – will be added to the research trees. These machines are built for battlefield dominance, combining devastating firepower, composite armor, and advanced fire control systems.
The following tanks will be available for research upon the release of the update.
M1A2 SEP (Rank XIV)
An upgrade of the legendary Abrams, featuring improved armor protection on the turret front and sides, and a 120 mm cannon with an excellent ammunition selection.

This vehicle performs equally well in urban combat and open terrain. Its rounds – including APFSDS with over 630 mm of penetration – leaves enemy targets with virtually no chance of survival.
Leopard 2A5 (Rank XIV)
This Leopard variant received reinforced armor in the form of distinctive wedge-shaped add-on modules on the turret, significantly increasing its survivability.

The precise 120 mm cannon and excellent mobility allow you to dictate the terms of engagement at any range, making this tank a formidable opponent in long-range duels.
T-72B3A (Rank XIV)
This extensively modernized T-72 is equipped with the "Arena-M" Active Protection System, capable of intercepting incoming projectiles and missiles. The hull sides are additionally reinforced with "Relikt" ERA.

A powerful engine, robust armor, and the APS combine to make this one of the most protected vehicles on the battlefield. Its 125 mm autoloaded cannon and solid ammunition selection (including tandem-charge ATGMs) make it well suited to spearheading assaults on enemy positions.
WZ1001(E) LCT (Rank XIV)
An experimental and exceptionally rare vehicle representing a further development of the Type 99 line. The WZ-1001 features enhanced turret armor and an improved suspension.

This tank is ideally suited to breaking through defenses, delivering devastating strikes with its powerful 125 mm L/54 autoloaded cannon and an excellent ammunition selection.
*Vehicle specifications and camouflages are still work in progress and may differ on release.
New top-tier vehicles will also be added to the game on a monthly basis. Both standard and premium versions will be obtainable from Trophies. Announcements for the Big and Medium Trophy vehicles are coming soon.
Balance
With the introduction of the new rank, multipliers for Crew RP, Vehicle RP, and Silver Lions will be recalculated. Vehicle prices (both for Silver in the research trees and for Blueprints) as well as prices for Gold vehicles and premium versions of standard vehicles, will be adjusted accordingly. Full details on all economy changes will be provided in the patch notes for the update.
Q&A
Will vehicles be moved between ranks to improve balance?
Will vehicles be moved between ranks to improve balance?
We regularly assess vehicle performance metrics – both through direct play on standard game accounts and by analyzing charts and analytics data. We do not rule out moving vehicles to more appropriate ranks where warranted, but we make no promises on specific changes. Any such adjustments will be detailed in the patch notes.
Will there be new ground maps? Will maps be made larger?
Will there be new ground maps? Will maps be made larger?
Yes, we plan to introduce a new ground map in an upcoming update. Map sizes will not increase dramatically, but we aim to make them as large as possible given their type – urban terrain, open terrain, minor objectives, and so on.
Are new mechanics planned?
Are new mechanics planned?
Yes, new mechanics will be introduced and existing ones refined as the game continues to develop. For example, this year alone we’ve implemented an alternative control scheme, improved vehicle handling, and added the display of aiming angles and target acquisition via the hull. And now we’re working on improving the performance of fire-and-forget missiles, adapting them to the demands of mobile gameplay.
Will a map ban feature be added for maps we don't want to play on?
Will a map ban feature be added for maps we don't want to play on?
This feature is planned for a future update, though we are not yet able to share a timeline.
More details on Rank XIV and the new vehicles will be available in the patch notes for the next major update and in devblogs. Stay tuned!
We wish you bright and memorable victories in the battles for new heights in War Thunder Mobile (WTM)!
